Renault Megane CC first teaser image

A leaked photo of the new Renault Megane CC has hit the Internet, giving us a fairly good idea of the new shape.
It seems to be in keeping with the style of the current model, but if compared to spy shots, the headlights definitely will be different, among a few other minor body details. The launch period has not yet been confirmed, but since it’s already basically finished, the Geneva Auto Show seems to be the most likely place for its debut.

Mercedes S-Class Hybrid Electric model coming soon
Posted by Bradley Wint on January 5th, 2010 at 9:00 am

Mercedes R&D execs have stated that customers should except a hybrid S-Class when the new model is introduced.
The model which is powered by both a battery and petrol engine, is expected to do about 80 mpg and is expected to chug out less then 100 g/km, which works well for the EU emissions policies implemented. They have increased the aerodynamics and reduced some of the weight making it much more efficient. However, there is not going to be a fully electric model, simply because today’s batteries are still not able to keep up with what they need to power.
There will be other 6 and 8 cylinder petrol models that will be made available.
2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe – Official Details and Pics
Posted by Bradley Wint on January 5th, 2010 at 7:00 am

In an earlier post, we mentioned that Caddy had a few gifts for us at the Detroit Auto Show. One of their new releases was the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. However much details were not given back then. We now have full information about the vehicle, as well as high res screenshots of the new model.
The notable things about this new car include the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, taken from the CTS sedan. It pumps out 556bhp or 415kW and can do 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. It comes in either a manual or automatic transmission, both of which are 6-speed. There have been a number of structural and visual improvements including the addition of LED lined headlights, a more sloped windscreen, touch-pad door control and much more. Ride height is controlled by their innovating Magnetic Ride Control technology and the brakes are fitted with the very popular Brembo brand.
Anyway, check out the full press release below for more details, and view the gallery just below it.
Aston Martin Cygnet Advert – Free Runners compete to reach first
Posted by Bradley Wint on January 3rd, 2010 at 8:00 am

Aston Martin is going modern and hip with their marketing of their new, ermm…creation called the Cygnet which is based of the Toyota iQ. In my opinion, this is just viral marketing for the product, not for selling sakes, but to let people know about what they’ve created, to interest them in future projects. Check out the video of some spotty teenagers doing their hip thing in order to reach the baby-Aston.
New 2012 Model S from Tesla, a practical electric car that seats 7
Posted by Ilia Lou on January 2nd, 2010 at 2:42 pm

Well, I have to admit, before the Model S I didn’t have much hope for the electric car. Yes, the Roadster sport did 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and no one is denying that it was very quick indeed, but the fact that it was hopelessly impractical to live with, and that the charging would take forever turned me away. Now however, this Model S might just prove me wrong.
This new Tesla will have 4 doors, a big trunk for your belongings, and it looks astonishingly good. If anything the technical stuff is even more impressive, 0-62 happens in just 5.6 seconds, and the maximum range is 300 miles. A 45 minute “QuickCharge” as well as a 5 minute battery swap should ensure that you won’t run out of electricity all the time.

Mansory Cyrus Photos
Posted by Bradley Wint on December 28th, 2009 at 8:00 am

Swiss tuner, Mansory, has released a ton of new photos of their all carbon-fiber customized Aston Martin DB9. Not to be confused with Miley Cyrus, the Mansory Cyrus features a number of upgrades over the regular DB9.
On the exterior, almost all the body work is done in carbon fiber. The intake on the front grill has been improved, while the out flow grills on the hood have been extended significantly. On the sides just after the wheel well arc, there are also added cooling vents and a side skirt leading all the way to the back door. The rear features a huge lower diffuser, hydraulic spoilers and some other bumper modifications. The interior has been jazzed up with a combination of red and black leather, and some carbon covered panels on some parts of the dash board. Alos, the Mansory name has been custom stitched into the seats.
So how much does this ride cost? Just between US $555k – 600k. Is it worth the price? Unless you’re obsessed with Carbon Fiber, I would say stick to the regular DB9. Check out some pretty pics below.
2011 Ford Mustang GT leaked pics
Posted by Bradley Wint on December 26th, 2009 at 8:00 am

Yup, the pics of the new Ford Mustang GT have hit the net much earlier than they were supposed to because a number of sites broke the embargo placed by Ford. Seems that this stallion can’t be tamed since details about it slipped out much faster than expected. Here’s a quick overview.
The 2011 Mustang GT will feature a 5.0L V8 engine, packing 412bhp 390 lb-ft torque. The engine itself has a very big “5.0″ logo on is and is said to have a steel forged crankshaft, making the addition of more power a worry-free task. Also the rest of the engine is made of light-weight aluminum and will feature a dual variable valve timing system. With some fancy coverings, the 5.0 GT is a step above the 4.6 currently being offered.
