Danica Patrick confident about NASCAR, might not be heading to F1

IndyCar star Danica Patrick recently commented on her plans for the future with regards to her racing career.

For those expecting her to join the US F1 racing team, it seems this may not happen again. In the past she rejected the offer to drive around Indianapolis in 2005, plus also turned down an offer by the Toyota F1 team. Once again she says F1 is not really an option. When asked about the choice of what series she would like to drive next year she said:

“I’d say it’s probably not F1.”

“Not really, and the fact that to my knowledge they’ve never called.

“I’ve had opportunities to take it a step further with Formula One, and I don’t want to lead anyone down a path. It’s not in my heart to go there. I’ve explored Europe before. I particularly like to be here and I like my family and I like my friends and I like my creature comforts of my home country.”

However she seems to be quite interested in NASCAR Sprint Cup series, even though a number of critics have said that she might not be able to handle the heavier, 3400 pound cars. She has countered these claims though:
