MINI makes fun of Cash for Clunkers program
Posted by Bradley Wint on July 31st, 2009 at 5:44 pm

MINI has created a little bumper sticker to poke fun at the U.S. Cash for Clunkers program. The catch phrase is based of the Enterprise slogan “My other car is an Enterprise-Rent-A-Car”.
This one reads “My Other Car Was Demolished By The Government”. However, I would not be too proud to stick that on my car though.

Illuminated Street Signs…the way of the future
Posted by Bradley Wint on July 31st, 2009 at 12:36 pm

Christopher Lavelanet has come up with some concept designs of what could be the possible street signs technology of the future? Most likely these would use some type of low voltage bulb such as a fluorescent fixture. These would be better in the sense that, they will always be visible at night, even when there are no light sources. So maybe you might be walking in a dark area or some how driving without your lights on (like that’s gonna be the case), these lights would certainly come in handy.

He actually talks about it in an interview with Motortrend magazine. You can see the imagery below.

Bugatti Royale Rendered… again
Posted by Steve Scarano on July 30th, 2009 at 4:32 pm

Bugatti’s latest hyper car has been speculated over for many months now, but this four door follow-up came one step closer to creation with an official teaser released nearly two weeks ago. As usual artists have been hard at work speculating just what such a saloon of this magnitude might look like. With names like Royale, Bordeaux, and Atlantic floating around the idea of this sedan harkening back to the Bugatti’s of old is becoming more and more valid.
Get your veggies directly from the Truck Farm
Posted by Bradley Wint on July 30th, 2009 at 4:02 pm

Getting fresh fruit and vegetables is usually not the cheapest things in the New York area, simply because those green bunches of goodness have to be imported from somewhere else. The closest you might get is packaged crop maybe 1 or 2 days old. Well how about being able to get your fruits and vegetables straight from the farm itself…or should I say Truck Farm.
Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis have started a farm in the bed of their 1986 Dodge Ram, growing different crops such as tomatoes, lettuce, habaneros, arugula, broccoli, seasoning herbs and other types of edible greens. Their farm on wheels project has a lot of “green” features as well including an organic soil composite comprised of styrofoam, organic material, gel and clay.
You can actually buy these veggies from them buffet-style. Just pay $20 and you are free to eat whatever is grown on the truck.
The crew has been documenting their project on video (their cams are even solar-powered as well). They have done a series of episodes, promoting the experiment, one of which you can view below.
